What's all the V.I.B.E. about?

Been a long road, but we finally got VIBE off and running.  American Vellum Craft is a new company and VIBE is Vellum Impressions Beautifully Embossed.  Acrylic boards that are laser etched to help you create beautiful vellum embossing.
I had asked the UK company to make us some American images and they NEVER acknowledged the email so I found a manufacturer that would.  We now have flags, eagles, pumpkins, turkeys and a WHOLE lot more.  All the boards can be found in our online store.

Only one more convention to go.  Twelve is a lot of conventions, but this year we needed them because of the road construction....yep, it's still going on.  They are almost done though.  I give it another week or so. Today it is raining so they won't do anything even if it clears up.  We added Rockford, IL for next year and got accepted to MegaMeet in Novi, Mother's Day weekend.

So, I'll be busy, busy for the next month or so and then lots of new adventures starting next year.  Stay tuned.

Till next time,
Cheryl

Critters, Critters, Critters, Oh MY!!

I bought a Silhouette Cameo at the garage sale in March.  I'm still learning!!  I bought some SGV files and have been cutting and creating the cutest little critters.  Some are not animals, they are snowmen, babies in bunny suits, etc. but they sure are cute!

I have been buying them from a lady who makes them, but sometimes I want something different.....so I decided to make my own. Again, still learning.  It is definitely a different machine than my Scan N Cut or Cricut!  Ah, it takes time to gain control.

Our next convention is in PA.  Laura and I are doing it without Jeff.  Drew is supposed to be going with us to help.  It's on his schedule, but you never know what a kid may want to do once summer is here.

Well, time to get back to work!!

Busy Days

So, I see I've been lax on blogging, again.  Here we are almost in June.  We've had 3 conventions, 1 surgery, 5 birthdays...Mother's Day and Memorial Day.

I had trigger finger release in my pinky left hand.  #8.  Doc said he's never had anyone who's had all 10 done.  I told him I might be his first. Only 2 more to go.  Both on my right hand, so I won't be looking forward to those.  Luckily they are not bothering me at all!!

Our convention in Indy (Dansville, IN) was GREAT!!  New venue and days (Fri & Sat).  We were a little worried, but it all worked out...until Saturday when it was time to drive home and a blizzard hit.  It took us an hour to go 20 miles, but once we got on I-69 it was gone.  Spent the night in Ft. Wayne and drove the rest of the way on Sunday morning.

Convention in Akron was good.  We were up in sales and introduced a lot of people to Groovi.  Then off to NY, Syracuse.  Sales were a little down.  Not sure if it was the rain or what.  Did a class with Groovi and had a blast!!  The border patrol were jerks and we ended up having to go around Canada instead of through it, but it all worked out.  Spend Sunday night at Angi's in Rochester, NY and finished up the drive Monday.

So we've been busy on the road.  The store is slow right now due to construction....I hope that is all it is.  Classes are still going strong, but I would like to see more people during the week.

I had some custom papers done.  LOVE THEM!!  And the customers are loving them as well!!  I just got them a couple of weeks ago and will need to order them again very soon.

Come see us.

Retreat

Ahhhh, the joy of a weekend away with little or no phone calls and lots of crafting!!  I made over 110 Cards for Soldiers and a couple of Groovi ones.  Laura got quite a few of her personal cards done for the year and Kam did some cross stitch and sewing.

We've already booked our weekend for next year, cuz with a discount and the chance of them selling out we have to jump on it right away!!

Here is a short video of the retreat house.

Make N Take Day

Today was the day I chose to do my first "fun" video.  Like I said, I want to do more videos but they will be just small captures of my routine.
Every first Saturday of the month we do Make N Take Day at the store.  There are 3 different cards to do.  The first one is free.  The other two are $1 ea.  Never hard to do cards or projects, just simple cards for fun and camaraderie. About 8 ladies came in today to play, talk and share.  It's always a good day for me to be with friends who like to make cards and share their lives with me.
So enjoy the 30 seconds of just silliness.

Here We Are

Welcome to 2018.  Eighteen years into the new millennium.  WOW.  My mother always told me time goes faster the older you get.  Man does it ever.  My grandbabies are 6 1/2 and 12 1/2.  Drew will be a teen this year.  Every year seems to fly by.  I want to take the time to learn something new this year.  Maybe take a watercolor painting class.  So many things I could do.

I'm at the age where a bucket list would come in handy.  Try to do something new and different before I kick that ole' bucket.  I've been watching Better Late Than Never, with Terry Bradshaw, William Shatner, Henry Winkler and George Foreman.  What a funny show.  Four men doing things they have never done before and we get to watch.  If I had the money and resources I'd do it all in a minute.  But for now I'll resort to the little things around me.

I'm going to do more videos and share them with ya'll.  They may be boring, funny or just plain stupid, but I need to have some fun.

So be on the lookout for some crazy documentary moments of my boring life.

Until next time,

Cheryl
