Busy Day in the Classroom

Today was a busy day in the classroom. I was busy cutting for the Hint of Color class (samples now online at: thepaperhollow classes).  Then Laurie had a class, so she came early to prep.  After class we prep'd for future classes.  But a BIG order came in and we decided to open the box... just like Christmas!!  Look at all those goodies!!  Wink of Stella-Clear, House Mouse, Happy Hopper and Grumpies.  Some Hobby House toppers and NEW Stickles colors!!  There are still 3 on back-order, but they will be here soon!

So come in and check out the treasures!!

Reviving Inka Gold

Did you know that Inka Gold is water based?  So if it drys out you only have to add water to get it going again?  Here is a video, from me, showing you what your Inkas should look like:

A video from Justine on Hint of Color

Had lots of visitors today.  During my cleaning session yesterday I found a few goodies I knew other people could use, so I've given away quite a few things I will never use.  Still have some piles to go through and filter, but it's coming along.
Here is another video from Justine (Stone).  http://youtu.be/wL-1-aoSX3U

Comments from Justine

Justine (Stone) is a customer of mine and has her own channel on YouTube.  You should check it out.  Subscribe, too.  She wants to get onto a design team and they are requiring her to have 500 subscribers. I think that is a lot, since I've been on several design teams and all they required of me was to do great work which was judged by the owners of the companies.  Seems harsh to require so many subscribers/followers, but I guess it depends on the company.
Justine takes classes from me, also, then does a video and puts it on her channel.  She's really good at sharing her new finds, products and money saving tips.

Hobby House Sample Board

Yesterday was a "teaching" day.  I had two full classes that kept me busy.  Today I was at the store trying to catch up on class samples and doing some videos.  Laura (Rios) was there to help out.  She got some where around 5 or 6 short videos done.  I'll be sharing those with you in the near future.  We also worked on this sample board for the Hobby House Card Toppers.  I found this background board in my painting stash and decided to use it to display the cards.  What do you think??
These toppers come 4-6 in a package and make fast cards that look fab with just a few embellishments.

Cool Card Class

Have you seen the beautiful cards Laurie has planned for Friday, January 30's class at 1:00 pm?  I really love this soft look.  This set is from Penny Black and was our stamp of the month in December.  It could be used for any number of occasions, but we think Love is in the Air!!  There is still time to sign up!

It was a Green Day

I spent most of the day using the Cricut for cut-outs for a couple of classes next month.  My favorite cartridges are not from any store.  I'll keep you guessing on that one. :O)
Next month's color is green.  Hard to determine what to do with just green and white, but I did come up with a few ideas.  I didn't finish my samples, but did get all the cutting done.
I colored next month's House Mouse samples, too.  Again... didn't the the cards finished, but hey I did get them started.

Please remember to Shop Local, Shop Small.  We need your support.
Have a great night.

Painting with Acrylics

Today has been productive.  I've gotten four more canvases finished and two backgrounds for future paintings.  These are for our newest card class Acrylics on Canvas.  These are 5x7 pieces of real canvas.  I supply everything for the classes so you can try it.  They are very easy and fun to do.  I will guide you in each detail.  Price of classes depends on the number of cards and the detail.  Hope you will try one of the classes soon.

A New Beginning

Hi Everyone,
I'm going to try to keep you more up to date with what's going on at the store through a blog.  Hoping this way with all the news I want to share it won't always be in an email.  I'm also going to try informational videos.  I hope you will join the mailing list and become a follower.
My key word is "try" as I've done this before, but without much dedication.  I hope to be better with keeping up.
See you in the store!
