Makes Me Sad - vent

Today I was reading a post from a fellow vendor and someone commented this:

I was so looking forward to the show at John S. Knight and went with my stash of money and ended up spending a total of $3.00. I was so disappointed. The only two booths that even interested me were Marco's and Stamper's Anonymous, but I was in such a mood seeing the disaster of a show, that I couldn't even shop.

It really made me sad that someone would only shop 2 local booths and not even really look at the vendors who traveled hours and many miles to be there.

First we were still in a pandemic atmosphere.  Booths were limited by the promoter because of the limited amount of people allowed into the building at one time.  This was not the promoters fault, but the restrictions by the state.

Second, There were still over 20 vendors there.  That is a good amount for an average show.  I understand that Akron is not an average show, but this woman was spoiled.

Third, I think many more vendors could have been shown if Royal Acme didn't have so many companies and were allowed to set them all up.  Privilege.

Luckily we had a good show.  We carry items that no other vendors carry.  People need to branch out of their comfort zone and try something new.  They need to "shop" a show and check out every vendor and expand their minds.

Okay, rant over.  Our next show is coming up.  Michigan mandates have been lifted, but we are on our way to New York. Not sure what will be happening anywhere in a month with this new variant.  Jeff and I are both vaccinated and look forward to being on the road again.

Remember, we are open 24/7 online and can fill your paper crafting needs with our unique items.

Till next time,

Cheryl
